Man's Greatest Space Adventure Chart
Our 24" x 36" "Man's Greatest Adventure: From the Earth to the Moon" chart illustrates what it took for the United States to land astronauts on the lunar surface. The central subject is the Lunar Lander, retro-rockets blazing, touching down on the Moon. The poster shows the steps it took to accomplish that: the Mercury Program put the first American into space; the two-man Gemini Program proved that astronauts could live in the hostile environment; the Apollo Earth orbit program tested the hardware; and the Apollo-Saturn Program took humans to the Moon. The launch vehicles, spacecraft and astronauts for each program are shown and each is accompanied by captions explaining the significance of each program.
