STS-121 Crew Portrait Postcard
The crew of space shuttle Discovery continued to test new equipment and procedures that increased the safety of space shuttles during the STS-121 mission to the International Space Station. They also delivered more supplies and cargo for future station expansion. The seven person crew included Commander Steven Lindsey, Pilot Mark Kelly and Mission Specialists Piers Sellers, Michael Fossum, Lisa Nowak and Stephanie Wilson. ESA astronaut Thomas Reiter was also on-board but remained on the ISS after Discovery departed for its return to Earth.
